In 1993, Randy Nash dumped a handful of rocks from Morro Bay, California, on his nine-year-old son Joshua's floor in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Randy had interviewed for a pastor position at what was formerly the Los Osos Vineyard, and was now sharing the news with his family that they would be moving clear across the country to start a new adventure in Los Osos, California. Upon arrival in their new environment, they found the church family to be very welcoming and already having a rich heritage of spiritual encounters and deep worship. Randy brought a fresh passion for the Bible and a love for cities, which provided a launching pad for the next 22 years of missional-minded ministry. Randy also led with a passion for helping families and seeing multi-generational, spiritual community.
In 2015, Randy's son Joshua stepped into the Lead Pastor role. Joshua helped revamp the Leadership Team and narrow the focus of the Mission. Along with a name change (The Well) and a new Mission Statement (Digging the Well // Preaching the Gospel // Equipping People), Joshua brought new strategies to see The Well truly be a community of people encountering Jesus.
